Hi, my name is Malaika Whitney. I have spent the past three years at Sterling College self-designing a major in Integrated Agriculture and Rural Heritage. On Friday, May 2nd at 3:30 p.m, I will be giving an art talk at the Art House, to open a gallery show that goes until June 30th. That is this Friday!

My art is about telling the stories of farming and sharing our rural heritage. The story I will talk about begins with being raised on my family's fifth generation farm in southeastern Michigan, and ends with where I am now, about to graduate and hopefully to carry my love for farming and art forward. I invite you all to come, listen, share your stories, eat snacks, and enjoy art and each other's company. Hope to see you there!
