VUHS Senior Walkathon

Past event
May 24, 2021, 9:30 AM to 2 PM

I am so happy to announce that the VUHS senior walkathon has been rescheduled from the fall to Monday, May 24th from 9:30am-2pm. For 13 years, the VUHS senior class has continued the tradition of "Walking for a Cause" with the organization selected by students. The annual senior walkathon typically consists of raising funds and awareness by collecting donations and walking.

In the fall, students were surveyed on possible organizations to support. The class voted to walk for the Champlain Valley Alzheimer's Association. However, with the current circumstances of COVID-19, the class also felt an obligation to extend support to the Vermont Foodbank in this time of need. So far, we have raised a combined amount of $3,946 for the two organizations. We are still taking donations on GoFundMe for both of the causes which is linked at the bottom.

On the day of the event, seniors will leave VUHS around 9:45 am and head up Monkton Road to Main Street, turn right onto MacDonough Drive, pass Comfort Hill Kennel and end at Ferrisburgh Central School. After eating lunch, students will head back to VUHS the same way. If you see us walking past your business or while you're driving, give us a honk, wave, thumbs up, or smile!

Any questions can be emailed to jokimball@anwsd.org. Thanks everyone for supporting our class!!
