Hello fellow humans in the watershed,
On behalf of some generous landowners and myself, we invite you to come plant trees with us this Wednesday from 5-7PM. We'll be planting native trees and shrubs along the lower Huntington River right beside a popular swimming hole, and we'd love for you to join us. All ages welcome - all experience levels welcome.
We'll be planting red maple and silver maples, black willows and shrub willows, silky dogwoods, serviceberries, basswoods, hop hornbeams, and a few mulberries for future snacking. These trees will help stabilize river banks, sequester carbon, create habitat and food for pollinators, filter agricutlural run-off, slow flood waters, and add even more beauty into this juicy, lively section of our beloved Huntington river.
Come on out, dig some holes, plant some trees, meet some neighbors, and bask in this regenerative, enlivening, and altogether joyous work of restoring our watersheds.
Questions? Drop me a line or just show up and ask in person!

Families and community members are invited to join 350VT in tree planting projects across Vermont as part of our statewide effort to Rewild Vermont.
"350VT and our partners around the state have set an ambitious goal of planting thousands of trees across the state by the end of 2022. Trees absorb carbon, build soil, limit erosion and are the keystones of most Vermont ecosystems. They can also feed people and ground us, giving us the patience and commitment desperately needed in these times. Join us and help sow the seeds for a vibrant, livable future!
