Hello neighbors!
Tomorrow on Tuesday, May 18th the Transportation, Energy, and Utilities Committee of Burlington City Council will be hosting a special meeting regarding pedestrian safety in Burlington. As an intern for Sustainable Transportation Vermont, I am very excited to be presenting about some current issues with pedestrian infrastructure. All are welcome and encouraged to attend, and if you have any ideas about how Burlington could be safer for people walking, please bring them to the discussion!
Pedestrian safety is essential to making our city more walkable and sustainable and this is the next step in achieving those goals. The meeting will be from 5-6:30pm on Tuesday on Zoom (link below). I hope to see many of you there and hear the ways that you think we can improve safety for pedestrians in our beautiful city!
