Join A.Y. Berthiaume — author of Dear Universe, I Get it Now: Letters on the Art and Journey of Being Brave and Being Me — in an engaging, entertaining, interactive (and free) Zoom-presentation-meets-workshop-meets-live-Q&A.

Participants will:

- get schooled on the various publishing options available to them and the advantages and disadvantages to consider;
- get wise to the balance between penning their book and building a platform and;
- get thinking about how they intend to promote their work once the book is ready to hit the shelves.
- A.Y. Berthiaume will leverage her formal study and training (she's got an M.F.A., ya know), and her experience writing and publishing her book (and a client's) to offer a reality check and practical advice to writers with books in the works who need to get their business hats on. By the end of this presentation/workshop, participants will have the beginning of their own publishing and marketing plan (or at least the tools to create one).

About the Author:

A.Y. Berthiaume is a professional writer, native Vermonter, practicing feminist, recovering middle child, wannabe superhero, and a mom who's pretty sure she's winging it. She holds an M.F.A. in creative writing and is the Lady Boss Owner of The Write Place, Right Time, her virtual boutique of copywriting and ghostwriting services. Whether she's writing for herself or her clients, Berthiaume believes in emotionally compelling, honest, and powerful stories that are told in an authentic voice, come straight from the heart, and celebrate bravery, grit, and hope. If you can catch her not doing all the things, she's probably drinking Maple Lattes in a coffee shop, getting lost in a bookstore, or binge-watching something on Netflix in her sweatpants while she eats ridiculous amounts of movie-theater-style popcorn.
