Plant and Seed Swap at Halifax Community Hall to Remember Edie Fenton

On Saturday, 29 May, the Halifax Community Club will emerge from COVID-19 hibernation to host a community plant and seed swap at the Halifax Community Hall in West Halifax. The Club dedicates this event to our friend, neighbor, gardener, and Club member Edie Fenton, who died in early 2020, just before the first spring bulbs emerged from her well-tended plant beds. Many people from the greater Halifax community have plants from Edie in their gardens. So, it seems fitting to remember her by continuing her generosity of sharing plants. If you have plants or seeds to share, then please do bring them. If not, then you are still welcome to take home plants and seeds for your garden.

When: May 29 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Where: Halifax Community Hall, 20 Brook Road, West Halifax
The Hall is wheelchair-accessible with an accessible bathroom.
Rain date: Saturday, 5 June.
Cost: Free.
