Join the Bicycle "Ride of Silence" May 19

Past event
May 19, 2021, 5:30 to 7:30 PM

Please join me for the 9th annual Northfield Ride of Silence. This world-wide event is dedicated to honoring bike-riders who have been injured or killed in crashes with motor vehicles.
We'll leave from Depot Square at about 5:30, and will ride--in silence--at a comfortable pace to the Roxbury Cemetery on Rt. 12A. There, we will gather and share stories and memories about the dangers and pleasures of riding on the roads of Vermont.
This year, Vermont public health guidelines allow everyone to gather outdoors without needing to wear masks, and like many others, I am fully vaccinated, so I feel comfortable riding in a group. If others do not feel that this is OK for them, please feel free to make this or another ride in support, just let me know so I can report on our ride(s) to the International Ride of Silence organization.
Last year, I took a few solo rides to local cemeteries; it will be good to join with others again this year!
All riders need to wear helmets. In case of rain, the fall-back date will be Friday, May 21st.
