Food is available!!

The Heavenly Food Pantry, located at the First Congregational Church on Main Street in Essex Junction, will be distributing food to families living in Essex, Essex Junction and Westford on Monday, May 10, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Families needing food assistance are welcome to visit, where volunteers will safely deposit food directly to vehicle trunks. Entering via the Church Street driveway, families will be ushered to a registration spot, where they will be asked to show proof of residency (such as a current utility bill with physical address listed) as well as identification for every family member, including children.

After registration, vehicles will drive to a pick-up spot where food will be placed in the vehicle. We ask that visitors wear masks while at the distribution and allow volunteers to serve families at a safe distance. Those who live near the church and unable to drive to the distribution are welcome to borrow shopping carts to bring food home, asking that they return them promptly so they may be cleaned and ready for the next family. If you are unable to attend but need food help, please call the church office at 878-5745 between 8:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. to request a delivery.

The food pantry is open twice a month- on the second Monday of the month from 5:30-7:30 p.m. as well as the fourth Thursday of the month from 2:00-6:00 p.m. There currently is no limit as to how many times families may visit.
