Please post this announcement sent by Kira Kelley from Burlington.

On Wednesday, May 7, there will be a public hearing with the Public Service Board regarding the second phase of the proposed 70+ mile gas pipeline that would pipe fracked gas from Colchester, through Chittenden and Addison counties and eventually under Lake Champlain. This project has met with considerable opposition among Vermonters, and previous public hearings have mobilized hundreds of residents from across the State. Nevertheless, the Public Service Board chose to stand on the side of the corporations, whose only agenda is profit, and issue a certificate of public good for the first phase of the pipeline, but the second phase has not yet been approved. You are urged to come to the meeting in Shoreham and express your opinions.

The meeting will be at the Shoreham Elementary School, 130 School Road, Shoreham, Vermont, starting at 6:30 for testimony sign up, with the hearing beginning at 7:00. If you would like further information, please contact Kira Kelley at: kakelley436@gmail.com

Thank you,
Trisha Novak
