The Vermont Urban and Community Forestry Program and our many partners are celebrating Ash Tree Awareness Week #ATAW

During the week leading up to Arbor Day Vermonters will be asked to celebrate the valuable contributions made by the over 160 million ash trees in Vermont, which belong to the genus "Fraxinus".
The goal of the initiative is to educate people about the threat posed to all species of ash native to Vermont by an exotic pest, the Emerald Ash Borer (EAB).
