All aboard the third journey of the Peavine Local, an auditory "train ride" of entertainment coming to you this Sunday, May 2, any time after 4 pm ET through the Vimeo link above.
On the ride, hosted by "conductor" Don Crickard, you'll hear about the history of the Peavine Railroad, listen to train-themed music by local performers Rob Gardner and Susie Smolen, find out about dangerous plants, overhear two local dogs secretly discuss national politics, listen to poems by Rumi, get advice from "Miss Timmons," and hear a well-known popular train song to close out the show. You might even hear a joke from some of the younger traveler. The episode also features a story of travel and adventure excerpted from West with the Night by Beryl Markham.
Additional performers include Janine Reeves, Todd Eberhardt, Marlys Eddy, Jen Edmonds, Erica B. Robinson, and Martha Slater. The episode is directed and produced by Jeremy Seeger, and recorded and mixed by Jake Wildwood, with musical underscoring by Jake Wildwood and Todd Eberhardt.
Episode 3 will be available beginning on Sunday, May 2, 2021, at 4 pm ET. All episodes will continue to be available after their initial launch dates. The links to listen in will be posted on WhiteRiverValleyPlayers.org. Each episode is about 40 minutes in length.
