Emerald Ash Borer Awareness and Information Session

Past event
May 18, 2021, 6:30 to 7:45 PM

With emerald ash borer detected in recent years around Vermont and, in the spring of this year, over the river from Windsor in Plainfield, New Hampshire, it's only a matter of time before Windsor's ash trees are affected. In this hour-long presentation for Windsor landowners and interested residents, Southern Windsor County forester Hannah Dallas, of the Vermont Department of Forests, Parks & Recreation, will cover ash tree and emerald ash borer identification, the current state of EAB infestation, how to report and slow the spread of EAB, and optimal long-term practices and goals for forest management.

This is a free event that will be held on Google Meets, though you do not need a Google account to join. To register, email Windsor tree warden Michael Metivier at mmetivier@windsorvt.org. The link and password to join the conference will be emailed shortly before the 6:30 start time on the 18th.
