Harwood's Peace Alliance—a club focused on educating others about the importance, history and culture of Indigenous People—is hosting a virtual event on May 5th at 7:00 pm to celebrate Abenaki Heritage Week (May 1-5). We will be welcoming Abenaki speakers, who will be contributing to a community dialogue centered around the following questions:
How can Vermont's schools be used to generate support for the local Indigenous community?
What goals are Indigenous People in Vermont working towards now and how can we support them?
Email us to register or get more details! Everyone is welcome, whether to watch or participate. We hope to see you there!
