After a very long year without live performances, Stowe Performing Arts' Noon Music in May concerts are returning to Stowe Community Church on Wednesday, May 5, 2021. The entire series is presented in loving memory of the late Irene Bareau, who was the presenting sponsor for many years.
The opening concert will feature Sheffield Sessions performers Annie Bartlett and Jake Armerding in a concert of rousing fiddle tunes. Armed only with unassuming acoustic instruments, Sheffield Sessions lays siege to their own brand of classical music. Smuggling contraband elements of bluegrass, jazz, and pop-rock into their rèpertoire, Sheffield Sessions performs with skill, joy and a cloud of gritty rosin dust.
We are immensely grateful to Stowe Community Church for hosting the concerts. Following guidelines established by the church, seating is limited to fully vaccinated attendees only. Social distancing, masks, proof of COVID vaccinations and reservations are required. Please visit www.stoweperformingarts.com for detailed instructions as to how to reserve your seats.
Many thanks to the Family of Irene Bareau, Stowe Community Church, the Town of Stowe, Green Mountain and Stowe Reporter for making these concerts possible.
