On Foot with Lions and Leopards in South Africa

Wildlife tracking takes on a whole new tone when you could meet a lion, elephant or cape buffalo around every corner. Join wildlife guide and naturalist Sophie Mazowita as she virtually shares stories from a 2-week journey on the trail of South Africa's wildlife, in Greater Kruger National Park and the Waterberg Biosphere Reserve.

Sophie Mazowita is a naturalist, educator, and certified wildlife tracker. She currently leads week-long polar bear and wolf-watching trips with Natural Habitat Adventures (travel partner of the World Wildlife Fund) and—when home in Seattle—contributes to local carnivore conservation and wildlife monitoring initiatives. She earned her Master's degree in UVM's Field Naturalist Program and maintains close ties to Vermont, where she started the Burlington Mammal Tracking Project.
