Join Classical Singer Linda Radtke next Sunday for an inspiring look at herstory's suffragists through the lens of music. Brought to you by the Friends of the Library, Linda traces the suffragists movement along with other social justice initiatives. Music was essential to the movement: each state convention of suffragists began and ended with songs such as "Shall Women Vote?" "New America," "Giving the Ballot to the Mother" or "Voting as we Pray," as well as rousing Christian hymns. Linda and accompanist Cameron Steinmetz will be performing live from the Charlotte Congregational Church. We will be with them via Zoom. Register here for the May 2nd performance at 2 pm: https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZUtfuCuqDgoG9wKuaAYp7xAuk0uJMlbfVY6
