The Fletcher Elementary Principal Search Committee is pleased to announce that Mr. Philip Banios and Ms. Aimee Toth have been named as finalists in the search for a new Fletcher Elementary School (FES) principal. The two candidates will be meeting with faculty, staff, family, and community members via Zoom on April 27. All members of the community are invited to meet both candidates at a public forum via Zoom on Tuesday, April 27 from 5:30pm - 6:30pm.

Ms. Toth will be available from 5:30pm-6pm and Mr. Banios will be available from 6pm-6:30pm. Everyone meeting with the candidates is encouraged to provide feedback to the Board through a brief digital survey immediately following the forum. The survey link will be sent out in the Zoom chat at the start of the meeting. Please submit the survey by 7:30 pm that evening as the Board will be making its decision after interviewing the candidates starting at 6:30 pm.
Mr. Philip Banios has been in the education field for 17 years, starting out as a 2nd Grade Teacher then transitioning to a 5th Grade Teacher and Team Leader. He has been in an administrative role(s) for the last 13 years, as either Assistant Principal or as a Principal. He has experience with PBIS and has been successful in reducing student referrals by over 80% at his current school. He is excited about the possibility of moving back to Vermont, and to enjoying the outdoor activities Vermont has to offer.
Ms. Aimee Toth has been in the education field for 20 years, starting out as a Kindergarten Teacher and has held positions as a Literacy Consultant, Principal and most recently as a District Literacy Coach. She has experience with Proficiency Based Learning and in her current role is assisting with their recovery plan work. Aimee has worked in multiple districts in Vermont and New Hampshire and is widely respected as an instructional coach. She is excited to bring all that she has learned to Fletcher and is excited to get involved with our small community.
The Fletcher School Board intends to announce its FES Principal decision by Wednesday, April 28.
