Looking for an educational way to celebrate Earth Day this year? Vermont-based author and illustrator JASON CHIN will host a virtual VTDigger Earth Day event on April 22 from 1 to 2 p.m., taking viewers behind the scenes of his beautiful and informative books.
Chin is the author of acclaimed children's books such as Gravity, Island: A Story of the Galapagos, Redwoods and Coral Reefs. His book Grand Canyon won a Caldecott Honor in 2018 and is one of just a few nonfiction picture books in history to be awarded the distinction.
The general public, but especially those with young ones in their lives, are invited to join this family-friendly event in which Chin will demonstrate how he creates his artwork, discuss the importance of the natural world and answer audience questions.
