Having Effective Conversations About Race (Session 4)

Past event
Apr 25, 2021, 6 to 8 PM

The Showing Up for Racial Justice (SURJ) Chapter in Burlington invites you to the final part of a four-part series this Sunday, April 25, from 6 to 8 PM.

"Learn How to Have Effective Conversations with People who Don't Think Racism is a Problem in the United States"

These online sessions are based on Dr. David Campt's "White Ally Toolkit" workbook. Each session focuses on different elements of this approach and includes reflection, role-play and resources.

This program is offered in partnership with the Westford Public Library and with the Carpenter-Carse Library in Hinesburg. The program is free and open to the public, including residents of any town.

Each session stands on its own and will focus on a specific element of this dialogue-based strategy to address racism. Please join us on one or more of these evenings from 6-8 PM, for the specific strategy described below:

March 7: Reflect
March 21: Ask
April 11: Connect
April 25: Expand

To register, please email surj.burlington.vt@gmail.com
