Workshop Series - Supporting You and Your Children

Past event
Apr 27, 2021, 7 PM

Through a partnership with LEAPS Afterschool, Beth Martell, parenting and life coach offers insight and support on child development and challenging situations that many parents and caregivers have experienced. These four mini-classes offer tools to help with communication and emotional regulation. Our hope in offering this workshop series is to help caregivers recharge, connect with others, and maybe increase their options for addressing different situations. These are judgement-free workshops and participants will have the opportunity to network if they choose at the end of the workshop or leave right at 7:30. Workshops can be taken as a series or individually based on your interest and need.

The first one is Tuesday, April 27th form 7-7:30
1. Me With You Mindset:
Our parenting power isn't our authority; it's our bond. Yet when kids are uncooperative and unreasonable, it can feel like they are opposing us. Then our natural defense mechanisms quickly engage and we can feel like we are in a battle. Learn more about this "Me versus You" mind state and how to change it to "Me with You." This is our best mind state for giving directions, holding limits, and everything we do.
