The Intervale Center, in partnership with student interns from the University of Vermont, Rubenstein School for the Environment and Natural Resources, will be hosting "Have a Heart, Pull a Weed" as part of ongoing Green Up Day efforts at Burlington's Intervale. This event is free and open to the public and will be held on Saturday, May 3 from 9 AM to 12pm with free food and a community celebration from 12pm to 1:30pm
Staff from the Intervale Conservation Nursery and the student-interns will be leading volunteers as they remove invasive plants along Intervale recreational trails and the Winooski River. Volunteers should be physically fit and comfortable working outside. Volunteers under the age of 16 need to be accompanied by an adult.
Interested in volunteering? Please contact Intervale Conservation Nursery Assistant Manager Seth Gillim at seth@intervale.org or at (802)660-0440 x104 to register or for more information.
Volunteers may earn City Market member worker credit, as always!
