All are invited to Holy Humor Sunday at the fairgrounds gazebo at 10 a.m. The Tunbridge Church will celebrate "risus paschalis," or "the Easter laugh" – worship with fun and laughter.
The custom comes from the idea of some early church theologians that God played a joke on the devil by raising Jesus from the dead. Until the 19th century Easter celebrations were held all week after the resurrection.
Celebrate Funday Sunday. Bring a chair and, if you like, jokes and stories and wear something fun.
