That's what R.A.L.L. players and their supporters are looking forward to in the weeks ahead. Before that can happen, we need to prep our ballfields and we're asking for your help.
On Saturday, April 10th starting at 9AM, we're inviting members of the R.A.L.L. family to join us at the Browns Court field and to bring along their trusty iron rake, shovel, and wheelbarrow (if they have one) to help with the removal of the sod that s taken over the infield. A sod cutter will be doing the hard work, but we need many hands to remove the unwelcome weeds to reveal the diamond that lies beneath.
On Sunday, April 11th at 9AM, we're welcoming the R.A.L.L. family to join us at the Volunteer Green ballfields to help us apply a fresh layer of clay to the infields. A bucket-loader will be doing the heavy lifting, but many hands holding iron rakes and shovels are needed to apply that smooth finish our ball players will be relying on in order to stretch that single into a double..
Whether you're available for 30 minutes or 3 hours, we welcome the time and the energy you're willing to provide. Thanks for considering to give us a hand.
