OUUSD school budget Vote is April 13th 2021 - Polls open 10am-7pm (Polling locations: Newbury – Newbury Town Office Bradford – Bradford Academy)

Budget break down:

Proposed budget amount : $17,171,968 if approved,

will result in education spending of $18,044 per equalized pupil.

This projected spending per equalized pupil is 1.71% higher than spending for the current year.

% Budget increase year 2020/2021 to year 2021/2022 = 2.33%

$ amount of increase = $391,785.00

Budget supports 6 Educational systems: (NES, BES, OHS, RBCTC, Preschool & OESU)

Difference in tax payment year to year for $200,000.00 house = Bradford increase of $15.40

Newbury decrease of $15.00

Note: This calculation provides for a tax rate BEFORE income sensitivity provisions allowed per statute.

Both Newbury and Bradford residents will also vote to elect:

A District Treasurer: (Write-in Candidate Lynda Fischer)

And Board members:

One from Newbury - (Carol Cottrell running for re-election)

One from Bradford – (Write-in Candidates Meagan Ballou or Zachary Lang)
