The Fairbanks Museum is hosting "Animal Buddies" next week, an annual program that allows preschoolers (ages 2 to 5) to bring their favorite stuffed animal to have a sleepover at the museum! Drop of your stuffed "buddy" on Friday, April 9th during museum hours (10AM to 5PM). That night, you'll be able to see photos of their night at the museum from the comfort of your home. They'll hang out with the Museum's life-size animals and have all sorts of adventures. The next morning, pick up your stuffed buddy between 9AM and 10AM by finding them in the museum, and take home a light breakfast to-go. When you get home, join in for a virtual story time where kids will learn about animals waking up for spring, and have a sing-along. This program is $5 per child/stuffed animal. All participants are being asked to wear masks, follow check-in protocols at the museum, and stay home if you're feeling sick. Stuffed animals will be handled with gloves by limited staff.
