Rochester Library presents: The Origins of Anti-Science Movements

Science has developed better and better ways to help us understand the world around us for almost 3000 years. However, technical, ethical, economic and political problems have accompanied each scientific development leading some people to distrust and reject scientific explanations.

This talk will examine each of these problems and develop a set of conclusions that can guide our critical appraisal of science as it continues to evolve.

Join us Wednesday, April 7th at 9:00 a.m. for this timely talk. Preregistration is required for this Zoom presentation. Email the library at rochesterpubliclibraryVT@gmail.com to register before April 6. Confirmations with the Zoom link will be emailed prior to the program.

Our presenter is Tom Perera is a retired professor at Columbia and Montclair Universities who taught and researched neuroscience for 35 years. He and his wife Gretchen have lived on a farm in Hancock for 55 years ago.
