Join the Children's Literacy Foundation's interactive poetry workshop with VT poet Verandah Porche on Friday, April 23, at 7:00 p.m. For teens and adults of all skill levels and experience. "Poetry Without Tears" will be a safe space to write a first poem or sharpen skills. Verandah will share her work and we'll talk about finding beauty in our own language. Then we will create a collaborative poem where participants each add a few lines. We will choose a prompt and write for five or ten minutes. Those who wish to can share. Verandah is an renowned poet who lives on a commune in Guilford, VT and has worked with aspiring writers in hospitals, nursing homes and senior centers, and those who have experienced homelessness, amongst folks from many other facets of life.
