The primary goal of the Every Town project is to place at least one parcel of land in trust in every town in Vermont for BIPOC to permanently access and steward as residents. We aim to systematically address land access disparities and existential rights for BIPOC by creating an alternative approach to land ownership and mobilizing a network of safe, welcoming communities. This event is an opportunity to learn more about the inner workings of the Every Town Project. We will talk about the project in the short and long term, and we will explore the intersections of Every Town with the climate crisis and how Vermont is uniquely poised to act as a place of refuge - yet is on track for homogenized, wealthy, white climate migration.
