Community Oven Presentation

While Monday Night bakes have become a staple in our Johnson summer lives, the Johnson Community Oven Committee has arranged a special evening for our community to explore the ways in which we optimize on the "cool down" of the oven after the pizzas have been served! Mondays have the potential to be a culmination of wood fired culinary collaboration... utilizing the slowly dropping temperatures after we cook pizzas HOT!

For example, one night I threw a duck in a Dutch oven with veggies after pizza night. Another time, Mark made popovers the next morning. Both of us were experimenting, but with the help of our presenter Saturday night, we can optimize on this time!

We are happy to announce Richard Miscovich, author of From the Wood-Fired Oven: New and Traditional Techniques for Cooking and Baking with Fire, will give a virtual presentation on cooking in Johnson's community wood fired oven. Everyone is invited to use the oven and after pizza bakes is a perfect time to do it; Richard will show us how!

Participants will be entered to win a copy of From the Wood-Fired Oven book and a community oven t-shirt!

Date: Saturday, March 13
Time: 4:00 - 5:15

Brought to you by the Johnson Community Oven Committee in collaboration with the Johnson Public Library. Contact johnsoncirc@gmail.com for the zoom information.
