Hello, all:

Article 16 on the March 2, 2021 Town Meeting ballot - the question that asked whether all articles requesting taxpayer funding, aside from the Town budget, should be voted on by Australian ballot starting in 2022 - ended in a tie, as you may know. Today, a Middlesex voter requested a recount as permitted under 17 V.S.A. § 2688.

Therefore, the Board of Civil Authority will conduct a recount at 4 PM, March 15, 2021 in Town Hall. This will also be streamed on Zoom. (See agenda, below.) Any public question voted on by Australian ballot that ends in a tie after a recount is considered failed.
