"There is Sweet Music" - Vermont Choral Union

This 35-voice a cappella choir presents "There is Sweet Music" with music spanning the past five centuries. The program features delightful melodies and sonorous harmonies by Palestrina, Sweelinck, Schütz, Brahms, Elgar, Thompson, and Tavener. Hear the premiere of Vermont composer Dennis Báthory-Kitsz ethereal "Ave Verum Corpus" written in memory of Tavener, and Eric Whitacre's captivating "Five Hebrew Love Songs" accompanied by string quartet. Tickets at the door: $15 general admission, $10 seniors; admission free with SMC ID.

Or come see us Sunday, May 4, 7:30 p.m., at Mead Chapel, Middlebury College, along with the Middlebury Community Chorus.
