The Winooski Fire Department will be joined by St. Michaels Fire & Rescue for a special training located at 355 Main Street in Winooski on Saturday, March 6, 2021, from 8 AM – 4 PM. The building at 355 Main Street is an acquired structure set for demolition.
Training in acquired structures set for demolition allows the Winooski Fire Department to simulate real-life scenarios in unfamiliar settings, similar to the atmosphere of our service calls in Winooski. These trainings are conducted in a controlled and safe environment and provide a variety of important learning opportunities for our staff and partners. Mutual aid/emergency response partners are often asked to join, which strengthens our working relationships and operational capabilities.
Please note:
Motorists are asked to use caution when traveling through the area.
Pedestrians are asked to find alternative routes.
Emergency response vehicles will elevate noise in the surrounding area.
Thank you for your patience while we complete this important training opportunity.
