Universally Accessible Wheel Pad Webinar

Past event
Mar 17, 2021, 2 to 3 PM

Wheel Pad teamed up with the California Foundation of Independent Living Centers to provide a fully accessible webinar about our products on Wednesday 3/17 at 2PM EST/11AM PST. Register: Wheelpad.com/universallyaccessiblewebinar

A company committed to universal accessibility, we want to provide access to everyone! Thus, our presentation will be fully captioned. Kathrine Crowley of California's Ability Tools program is working with Team Wheel Pad to ensure the presentation is set up correctly for screen readers, while the program will be professionally captioned live.

Wheel Pad manufactures home attachments and backyard tiny houses that can rapidly make any property universally accessible, whether you are trying to age in place, recover after an accident, or add more square footage for a growing and changing family.

This webinar is also a great chance for people to learn about assistive technology programs that are offered by their state. Thanks to a 2004 law, each state is required to have a department for anyone to learn about, and access technologies to help with mobility challenges, low vision, auditory problems, and more. Some states have technology re-use programs, some offer financial support for the purchase of equipment, and maybe even home modifications. Team Wheel Pas is working to connect with each of the 50 state's programs, learning more about what opportunities are available in each state.
