Rob Roper, President of the Ethan Allen Institute, will present his action plan to push back against a proposed plan to expand the sales tax to cover all goods and services. He will explain why we need to immediately take a stand against this ill-advised idea, and let the legislature know that Vermonters on both sides of the isle are opposed.
Also Ken Hoeppner, Chair of the Lamoille County Republican Party, will give an insider's view of the controversy surrounding the cancelling of the Cambridge Christian Fellowship Church's involvement in the Farm to Families Food Box Program. It is alleged that the church's efforts to help Vermont families suffering from food insecurity were stopped for political reasons. Ken has been a volunteer with the program that has delivered over 140 boxes recently on Saturday mornings.
AND, Richard Bland will provide a brief update on where we stand with the effort to reverse the Stowe school merger. Unfortunately, efforts to include a vote on the issue at Tuesday's Town Hall Meeting failed to meet the deadline requirements. Learn where we go from here.
This meeting is open to the public and includes issues of concern to those on both sides of the political aisle.
