The Guilford Conservation and Planning Commissions invite you to an exciting and enjoyable event for our town: a Community Values Mapping project developed by Vermont Fish & Wildlife. We want as many Guilford residents as possible to join together to help us map and discuss the places they love and care about in Guilford.
These might include a favorite hiking trail, hunting grounds, a community gathering place, or a historic site, among other possibilities. Our goal is to engage voices from throughout the community as our commissions work through the town planning process.
Here's a chance for us to gather socially but safely in this year of Covid restrictions.
There are three ways to participate in Guilford's Community Values Mapping project:
1. March 9, 6-8pm -- Attend an online community forum. Register here and receive a link to join.

Jens Hilke from Vermont Fish & Wildlife will introduce participants to the goals and tools of values mapping. We will then work in small groups with facilitators to discuss and map areas of town that are important to us.
2. March 10-24 -- Participate anytime on your own at this self-guided website. The website includes an introduction, instructions for using the mapping tools, and a map of Guilford for marking your own favorite places. https://www.sevtcommunityvaluesmapping.com/
3. March 10-24 -- Visit the outdoor kiosk at the Guilford Playscape during the day and mark your places on a paper map.
