Amphibian Ecology and Road Rescue Training

Past event
Mar 11, 2021, 7 PM

Salamanders and frogs migrate by the thousands from forests to wetlands each spring, often crossing roads at great peril. These seldom-seen amphibians radiate charisma, inspiration, and moxie on the rainiest spring nights. And they need our help!

Each spring, local volunteers rescue thousands of amphibians and collect important data used by town planners and ecologists through the Amphibian Road Crossing community science project. Join North Branch Nature Center's biologist Zac Cota online for an evening of local amphibian ecology, then learn how you can be a part of our team of amphibian "crossing guards" this spring!

This event is sponsored by MRV Libraries and Friends of the Mad River.
