Caitie, age 32, was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. She grew up in Concord, New Hampshire and attended college at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. The sweet, southern life suited her and she remained in New Orleans after graduation. This diagnosis was shocking. After some blood work she was given the results that have changed her life. Caitie loves the outdoors, Mardi Gras, and Bruce Springsteen. She volunteers with the Audubon Society and is training to be a volunteer with LOPA - the Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency. She has been a vegetarian since she was a little girl and loves all creatures (except snakes) large and small. Her hobby of birding allows her to combine many of her favorite things.
