Newfane Town Meeting Information

TOWN VOTING
There is no in person Town Meeting in Newfane this year. Voting on all articles will be by Australian Ballot. Voting takes place March 2 from 8 AM to 7 PM at the Newbrook Fire Station at 698 VT RT 30. Ballots can be requested from the Town Clerk by calling 365-7772, extension 0, emailing tclerknewfane@newfanevt.com, or using your MyVoterPage at the Secretary of State's website [https://mvp.vermont.gov/]. Ballots can be returned by mail, by dropped off at the Town Office, or brought to the fire station on March 2. All ballots must be cast by 7 PM on March 2 in order to be counted.

Public Informational Meeting
There will be a public Informational Hearing to review the Warning on Monday, March 1 at 6 PM via zoom. All Newfane voters are encouraged to attend. The Warning, which is published in the Town Report, is the agenda for the meeting.

TO ATTEND THE MEETING BY ZOOM

You can join by video via computer, tablet or smartphone or you can join by voice only with a touchtone phone.

TO JOIN BY VIDEO:
Please start signing on to the meeting at 5:45.

You can download the free Zoom application or you can join through the zoom browser [zoom.us]. Both are free.

If you have been using the Zoom app during the pandemic, please make sure you have the newest version installed.

If you are joining by telephone, you will need to Meeting ID and the passcode to join. (See below)

ZOOM PROTOCOLS:

o Please turn off your video and mute your microphone when you join. If joining by phone, use *6 to mute/unmute.
o Make sure your name is displayed correctly. Use "Rename" under Participants or hover over the blue square on your video.
o If you wish to speak, use the 'Raise Hand' feature under Reactions or Participants. If joining by phone, use *9 to raise or lower your hand.
o The chat will not be monitored for questions or comments on agenda items. Use 'Raise Hand' to participate.
o The Moderator will call your name or the last four digits of your phone number (if joining by phone) to speak.
o BCTV will ask you to turn on your video and unmute your microphone.
o After you're done speaking, stop your video and mute your microphone.

TECHNICAL HELP IS AVAILABLE NOW

Moore Free Library has two laptops and two tablets available for loan on a first-come, first-serve basis. Library Director Erica Walch has offered to help people install, configure and learn to use zoom. Just bring your device to the library during regular library hours.
