Join us On Thursday, February 25 at 1:30 for a travelogue to Kosovo, Europe's youngest and likely most controversial state. It was born out of the last war to take place on the European continent, and the legitimacy of its very existence is a topic of heated debate world wide.
In his presentation, Matt Coates, who recently returned from two years in the Peace Corps in Kosovo, will explain the complex religious and ethnic tensions which plague Kosovo today and the turbulent history of the region which has led it to its current state. He will also discuss what day to day life is like for the Albanian Muslim as well as Serbian Orthodox communities on either side of the national divide.
