Join the Main Street Middle School Caregivers Alliance this Tuesday 2/16/21 at 5:30pm for a special presentation on retail cannabis by Ann Gilbert, Director of Central Vermont New Directions.

Montpelier has placed retail cannabis on the ballot this year. VT Act 164 gives residents the power to decide if they want their city or town to "opt-in" to retail cannabis sales. There is still plenty of time to learn more and decide since licenses will not be issued until 2022. Communities can establish local guidelines and recommendations to safeguard public health. Make sure you are fully informed before you vote. Join this presentation to understand more about what Act 164 means regarding Retail establishments and Integrated Licenses (one business able to grow, lab test their own product, distribute, and have retail sales of marijuana.) Discuss what this means for Montpelier and our ideas of thriving families, children, and businesses.

Our presenter is Ann Gilbert, Director of Central Vermont New Directions which is the community prevention coalition funded through the Vermont Department of Health, serving Washington County to encourage healthy behavior and decreased substance use among youth. www.cvndc.org
