Past event
Feb 21, 2021, 3 to 4 PM

Back by popular demand! The cold months are upon us and the Ottauquechee Health Foundation invites you to Share the Food and Fun by joining us in this tasty community cooking event!

This month we're going to travel to North Africa and make Shakshuka! It is a gorgeous, deep red and full-flavored dish with sauteed vegetables and poached eggs. Great for brunch or lunch or dinner. Lots of healthy veggies and a spice combination that really wakes up the taste buds. It is warming and comforting and perfect for this time of year. Definitely nourishes heart and soul!

– The demonstration will be presented live virtually.
– Live Q and A session after the presentation with the chef available to share cooking techniques and answer questions.

About the Chef, Holly Pierce:
As an enthusiastic 9-year-old, Holly Pierce would head into the garden with her grandfather. Those summer mornings spent with him among the rows of vegetables started a life-long love affair with nature and food and a connection to both. From her grandparents' kitchen she jumped into restaurants, hotels and catering kitchens of all sizes, learning everything she could. She relished her 15 years teaching cooking class at the Cambridge Center for Adult Education where she discovered a deep love of connecting with people through food and communal experience. She loves creating community while inspiring people to cook for themselves.

Holly received her certification as a Holistic Wellness Practitioner in 2015 and in early 2020 I earned her Reiki Master certification. These new avenues integrate her experience, knowledge, passion, beliefs and vision into a unique approach to food, teaching, learning, coaching, and healing. Learn more: kitchen-coaching.com
