About 5 years ago, I had had the pleasure of meeting William “Smitty” Smith, and heard about the National Center for Racial Amity. I was inspired by his vision and enthusiasm. He sees a way toward racial harmony by focusing on the stories of cross-racial friendships. He told me about the film he was working on then, and now it is out! Yeah! There is a public viewing offered by the Springfield Library on February 17 - details also available on the Springfield front Porch Forum calendar or on the library website.
