My name is Teelah Hall, I look forward to seeing some Cambridge folks on Wednesday night. I have an ongoing list of ideas and am excited to share!
My plan right now:
(1) Educate. I am going through all the Cambridge town meeting notes for 2020-2021 to do a deep dive on current problems and the budget.
(2) Advocate. I believe it's the select boards duty to play a positive advocate for the Recreation Committee, The Community Engagement Team, Rescue, ALL CES Boards, and the Library Committee. These services (and others) are vital to our town and deserve the proper budget, respect and support from their town & community.
(3) Listen. Local government needs to listen to & communicate with all our neighbors. I was informed that currently, less than 15% of residents are part of decision making for the community. My goal is to inspire more people to want to step up and make decisions - more voices need to be heard - more names on future ballots!
(4) Support. Small businesses were hit hard in 2020, and there are strategic actions & municipal practices that local governments can take to support small businesses during COVID crisis and beyond: deferring financial burdens, evaluate small businesses through surveys, creating local relief financing options, provide technical help applying for SBA loans through webinars, and providing more resources and information to those business owners that need support.
It's your right to have a voice on the decisions involving the town. Go vote on March 2nd.
Information about the event, including candidates and links, will be posted at
