Celebrate and support youth to love reading!
The Greensboro Free Library will be hosting a virtual check in with 2 local reading specialists on Thursday February 18th at 6:30pm. This is a moment when you will have the opportunity to ask those questions about reading and writing that you haven't asked, or didn't know who to ask. This is open to parents and educators of kids, both in school and homeschooled, of all ages and abilities and is presented with compassion and creativity. Presenters will offer a short presentation about child development and can speak to questions relating to reading, reluctant readers, gifted readers, reading challenges, and possible resources to support happy reading. Please let me know you are interested and I will send you the link to enter the meeting. This event is free and open to all.
Thank you to the Greensboro Association for helping to make this event possible.
If you know some of your questions ahead of time please send them to me, Emily Purdy, Greensboro Free Library Youth Services Librarian, at greensborokids@gmail.com and I will pass them on to the presenters so they can prepare ideas tailored to your questions.
