Auditing fee $25 per person. Pony Club and 4-H groups of six or more receive a 50% discount on auditing fees.
No stallions allowed.
Open to ages 12 and older with prior horse experience
Learn how to gain respect and trust from your horse using equine psychology, body language, and exercises on the ground to establish YOURSELF as the leader of the herd! Simple exercises are taught to enhance your relationship with your horse, leading to a safer and more enjoyable time whether on the ground or in the saddle. This groundwork clinic will solve issues like nipping, crowding your space, nervousness, trailer loading, kicking, catching, etc. Topics to include working at liberty, problem solving, trouble -shooting and preparing your horse for riding.
Stephanie Lockhart is a Natural Horsemanship clinician, visiting equine instructor at Johnson State College and founder of The Center for America's First Horse, Inc., in Johnson, Vermont. Stephanie conducts clinics and private sessions in the United States and Europe for riders of all disciplines, ages and levels of proficiency. Following in the tradition of The Spanish Riding School, Stephanie begins her horse/human relationship program with groundwork to first establish a positive relationship with the horse.
