Selectboard Chair's Welcome
This hearing is to hear public comments concerning the enhanced energy planning amendment to the Sutton Town Plan (Section IX). The amendment is to qualify Sutton for "substantial deference" as detailed in Act 174. The proposal does not change the designation of any land area. Over time it will contribute to the compact and denser development in the village area. It may also contribute to lower overall densities in Sutton's working lands and preserve our agricultural land base. By promoting remote, home-based work strategies it should reduce transportation fuel use.
