The Bread Loaf Section of the Green Mountain Club (GMC) will hold its 46th Annual Meeting on the evening of Thursday, January 21st. This will be an online Zoom meeting and is open to the public. Details about how to register are below.
The business portion of the meeting will begin at 6:45 p.m. with local section reports and a report by GMC's Executive Director and Middlebury native Mike DeBonis. After voting in a new slate of officers, the meeting will adjourn at about 7:15, immediately followed by a special presentation by freelance author Leath Tonino on an especially timely topic: "Finding adventures close to home."
ABOUT OUR SPEAKER: Guest presenter Leath Tonino, a Ferrisburgh native, will speak on explorations close to home, the inexhaustibility of place, and his personal indebtedness to the Long Trail. Leath has been a full-time freelance writer since 2011. He is the author of The Animal One Thousand Miles Long: Seven Lengths of Vermont and Other Adventures. His presentation is planned for 30 minutes with a question and answer period to follow.
