We are a group exploring our family histories in relation to slavery. We welcome and include participants whose ancestors were slave-holders / enslavers and participants whose ancestors were enslaved. We include beginning and experienced researchers. We meet to share research experiences and to discuss the challenges that come from uncovering difficult long-hidden truths. Each meeting also includes a short introduction to an historical resource and a focused discussion linking this work to current struggles for racial justice. Our next meeting is Thursday, January 28, 6-8 pm, via Zoom. If you are interested in participating, contact doriew@radicalrootsgenealogy.org for more information.
