Saturday May 3rd is Green Up Day,
but you know you want to run and play
So let the 6th graders show you the way,
How much do you think that old junk pile weighs.
Now that we have your attention
let's give up the rhyme.
There is a lot going on and
not to much time.

On Saturday May 3rd the Rumney 6th grade class is holding the 5k or 1k Mud Dash to raise funds for graduation. Contact Gretchen Mashkuri at gmashkuri@gmail.com to participate. Since it is also Green Up day the class would like to help you clean up your yard and garage by collecting bottles and scrap metal (no hazardous materials) in a Bolduc container and dump truck at the Town hall and Rumney. If you can't get it to the school or town hall on Green Up Race Day, bring it to Bolduc's and advise them you want it to go to the class. That old broken lawn chair, bike, lawn mower, washing machine, extra pipe, or cast iron sink can help fund graduation festivities and class gift. The handprint sign in from of Rumney is an example of a previous classes fund raising metal drive. If you are a spectator along the course we are planning on having Green Up day bags to collect garbage in, or feel free to take one home and clean up your road.
