The Federated Church of East Arlington, the Battenkill Valley Health Center and The Collaborative are pleased to announce the distribution of COVID Community Support Kits during the coming weeks. In November, the partnership of these three organizations was awarded $10,000 in COVID-19 Relief Funding through the Vermont Department of Health. The purpose of the grant is to provide assistance to vulnerable populations in Vermont during this pandemic. The COVID Community Support Kits are specifically for vulnerable adults 65 years and older and disabled individuals living in Arlington, Sandgate and Sunderland. Each bag will contain personal protective equipment, cleaning supplies, personal hygiene items and items for warmth. The initial drive-thru distribution will take place on Friday, January 22 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and again from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Dunlap Hall located at 66 Ice Pond Road (across from the Federated Church) in East Arlington where items will be placed safely in a back seat or the trunk of a vehicle. Any person who meets the age or disability requirement and resides in one of these three towns only is invited to drive up. Pick-ups by family or neighbors for those unable to leave their homes or without transportation are permissible. Please bring proof of age and address. Phone 802-375-2548 with any questions.
